Consultation on the Strategic Priorities for the Public Sector in North East Scotland
In 2005, the Forum commissioned research that identified 'Strategic Priorities for the Public Sector in North East Scotland'. Since then, there has been considerable development in the direction of public sector services, and ongoing review of the focus and structures of the Forum.
The Forum have initiated a review of its vision, purpose and business model at its most recent meeting in February 2009. Over the next few months a strategic assessment will be undertaken, informed by the plans and priorities of stakeholder groups and organisations, in consultation with you and the other key parties.
The aim of the strategic assessment and attendant consultation is to identify actions which add value to the North East of Scotland and its residents, within the context of national objectives and priorities, which the Forum can then incorporate into a disciplined and open programme of work.
By the end of the year therefore, as a Group we commit towards producing and communicating a business strategy arising from the above process that aims to improve public sector service delivery and deliver efficiencies, whilst at the same time recognising and as far as possible meeting your needs. Please for more information.
With the aim of co-ordinating progress of Grampian Health and Transport Action Plan (HTAP) projects across key organisations a Programme Implementation Group, comprising representatives of NHS Grampian, the Scottish Ambulance Service, Nestrans and Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire and the Moray Councils, has now been formed.
New Online Forum Launched for the NESCEF
This Forum aims to promote discussion about the work of the NESCEF. The idea is that forum members can share information, ideas and good practice, not use the forum as a direct 'question and answer' channel.
