Total Community

TOTAL COMMUNITY is partnership working between agencies seeking to improve the way they deliver services to best meet the needs of the community, by developing a common understanding, sharing resources and working proactively with the community.

To ensure that services match the needs of communities we will continue to devolve decision making to the most local level wherever possible, by empowering front line staff and supporting joint up working.

The structure for Total Community will build on from Community Planning and Community Networks where community representatives are actively involved in shaping services in an area.

While every area in Aberdeen will have its own unique issues or concerns there are problems which will affect many communities:  such as vandalism, nuisance neighbours, littering, , youth concerns and we hope by working together the agencies and communities themselves will generate longer term solutions to these.

Across Aberdeen organisations such as Aberdeen City Council, Grampian Police, Grampian Fire and Rescue Service, NHS, Aberdeen Safer Community Trust, SACRO, AACS, Drugs Action, Barnardos are meeting regularly to progress this work.
