Total Community - Want To Get Involved?

There are a number of community volunteer roles available for people interested in becoming more involved with the Neighbourhood Team in Torry, Kincorth and Cove, in order to improve our service to local communities.

You will help us to deal with crime and tackle anti-social behaviour in order to build a real partnership between your local area and local policing team.

We have already recruited a number of volunteers who are helping us undertake a community survey in the Torry area and their work has provided us with important information about how people in the area feel about their policing service and what they need.

By becoming a Community Volunteer you will benefit your local police team and community - as well as acheiving a sense of personal achievement and satisfaction.  We are looking for people to help us with administrative and communication work.

WHO CAN VOLUNTEER?

There is potential for Volunteer roles within a range of circumstances, and therefore you dont necessarily require particular skills or abilities.

We also welcome professional people as volunteers, to bring their own skills and experience to the Police Service.

The amount of time you decide to volunteer will be up to you. We provide 24 hour, 7 days a week service, therefore voluntary opportunities are flexible, to meet both your and our needs. You will be provided with training and re-imbursed for any appropriate expenses.

If you feel volunteering maybe for you and you require more information to help you make your decision, please contact Inspector Shona Stewart through the feedback form below or pop into the Nigg Police Office and ask to speak to any of the Neighbourhood Team or call 0845 6005700.

If you are interested in getting involved and volunteering, please complete the online form below (or call 0800 555 111) and someone will be in touch:
