Forum's Strategic Priorities, Objectives and Targets for 2008/09

1. To continue to be regarded as the primary consultative body of expertise and stakeholder views in the North East on transport matters.
2. To contribute to the implementation of Regional Transport Strategy and Local Transport Strategies now that they are approved.
3. To act as a liaison Forum between communities and Nestrans, including providing input to significant strategic consultations and policy development.
4. The North East Transport Consultative Forum will continue its involvement in developing policy documents, particularly the Action Plans which are proposed as supporting documents for the Regional Transport Strategy.
5. Overseeing and commenting upon the implementation, monitoring and review of the Regional Transport Strategy and Local Transport Strategies.
