Forum's Strategic Priorities, Objectives and Targets for 2008/09

The long-term aim is the continued development of Neighbourhood Planning to deliver quality of life improvements at the local level.

Objectives 08-09
  • Publish NCAP 08/09 Delivery Programmes for all neighbourhoods by 30 June 08.
  • Complete full community consultation from May to Sept 08 to agree neighbourhood priorities for 09/10.
  • Publish 2 monthly updates for each NCAP Delivery Programme.

Targets
  • % of scheduled actions completed from NCAPs – baseline to be established April 09. Long-term target 90%.
  • 45% aware of their neighbourhood's NCAP.
  • 45% aware of being asked their views.
  • % who feel they can influence what happens in their neighbourhood – baseline to be established June 08.

 

Barriers Include:

The main difficulty is in securing attendance by the intended membership. Crucially this includes senior managers responsible for the local service managers who serve on the Tasking & Coordinating Groups. There has already been a tendency to delegate this to less senior managers.
