Increase participation in learning by under represented groups.
Progression in Learning
Improve articulation between learning opportunities.
Increase delivery of adult guidance and careers guidance.
Improve progression in accreditation of informal learning and core skills assessment.
Increase use of Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF).
Increase training delivered to local community groups and organisations aimed at developing the social economy.

Health and Wellbeing

Progress Made
Links have been made with Aberdeenshire LLF at a regional level mainly focusing on work carried out through the use of Working and Learning Togehter (WALT) monies.
'Closing the Gap' paper written and agreed by Committee detailing recommendations on how to improve attainment and achievement. This links to Council Transformation Programme for Children's Services.
Funding attracted to continue to support adult learning.
Partnership agreement with Aberdeen College reviewed.
'Respect' project jointly with Shire LLF culminated in launch of publication detailing examples of good progress in Community Capacity Building.
More Choices More Chances Partnership Group established and operating. Action plan agreed. Links made with Employability Group. Need for MCMC widely acknowledged and reflected in local and City priorities for transformation and Community Planning.
Barriers Include:
Continuity of chairing is likely to be a continuing problem because of time/work pressures.
Lack of clear targets makes it difficult to be clear about the purpose of meetings.
Meetings may be too infrequent for proper continuity of thought, discussion or action.
Time constraints may also mean that all partners are not fully 'signed up'.
