Forum's Strategic Priorities, Objectives and Targets for 2008/09

Provision of affordable housing and the improvement of housing within Aberdeen as set out in the Local Housing Strategy and the Community Plan and as set out in the Local Housing Strategy Extended Action Plan 2006-2011.

Delivery of Targets

Registered social landlords use the Local Housing Strategy and Community Planning Partnership "Homes" challenges when bidding for government funding.

The objectives and targets set in the Local Housing Strategy form the basis of the Council's strategic housing policy for the City.


Barriers include:

The Forum is not a decision making body.  In general it receives reports from other strategies and comments on the progress of these strategies.

It has no budget, therefore, has no influence over the implementation of targets set in the Local Housing Strategy or the Community Plan targets.
