"CHP Committee priorities are reflected in the 'Aberdeen City Joint Health Improvement Plan 2005-08'. The JHIP priorities are, in turn, reflected in partner organisations corporate plans and are used to support partners' bids for funding from health related funding streams, e.g., Health Improvement Fund."

Main Successes

  • At a time of significant organisational change in one of the key partners, the CHP Committee managed to maintained its focus on its objectives and continued to pursue a joint working relationship.
  • The CHP provided a central point for heath issues in Mental Health to be discussed and raised. For instance the Mental Health sector of NHSG found the invitation to brief the Committee on relevant issues a very useful exercise.
