Targets for 2006-07

The Forum is currently reassessing its position in terms of membership and the way it operates in relation to other partnership bodies in the City and region.

Once this is complete it will reconsider targets for 2006-07. These will include continuing and building on the success of 2005-06 targets.

Priority areas for action for the Forum for 2006-07 and beyond will continue to be the Promotion of the City and Shire and continuing work to raise awareness of the City.

This theme summarises the core function of the Forum and underpins all the work done by this group. Successful promotion of the City is seen as key to the ongoing economic, cultural and social development of the City.

Main Successes of the Forum in 2005-06

  • Repositioning of Aberdeen and North East as tourist and visitor destination.
  • Regional Identity Project.
  • Improvements to physical appearance of the City.

The Forum has successfully brought together a range of external agencies and partners who now work together to achieve the identified progress in activities and targets.  There is a good working relationship between partners and members.
