Regeneration Masterplans Go On Show

The drive to regenerate some of Aberdeen's most vulnerable communities is about to take a major step forward, with the exhibition of draft masterplans for six areas - Cummings Park, Middlefield, Tillydrone, Torry, Woodside and Seaton. Each of these priority communities has been working with consultants DTZ or HTA and John Thompson & Partners over a number of months to develop masterplans for Aberdeen City Council.

These plans will guide the regeneration of the six areas by mapping out improvements that could be made to the physical environment, creating opportunities for social and economic regeneration and detailing how they might be achieved. Each area will soon be presenting options and hope to get their community's feedback on them at public exhibitions. These comments will then be factored into a final version of a masterplan that will act as the framework for directing future public and private investment in the area. Residents in each area have already been contacted with details of their local exhibition.
