Regeneration Matters is a group of community representatives from the regeneration areas of Aberdeen who have a membership of approximately 30.
Members come from all the regeneration areas and have been meeting monthly since November 2006. Click here for Agendas and Minutes of Meetings.
Members of the group have been involved in a number of activities including:
The group will undertake any relevant consultation pertaining to regeneration in their neighbourhoods and have already been involved in the Anti Poverty Strategy, Closing the Gap: Community Engagement Strategy Report, Sports & Physical Activity Strategy etc.
Regeneration Matters group continue to play an important role as community stakeholders within regeneration in their neighbourhoods and develop links with community representatives and agencies within Aberdeen City and nationally.
COMMUNITY SUPPORT FUND
The Regeneration Matters group, along with the Fairer Scotland Fund team, administrates the Community Support Fund. This funding is available to enable community members to attend conferences, visit other regeneration areas, training needs, it also covers childcare costs, travel and conference fees.
Regeneration Matters strength is in the sharing of ideas, good practice and being able to call in relevant service providers/agencies on issues prevalent in all the regeneration neighbourhoods
