Aberdeen City Voice is the name given to a panel of Aberdeen residents who are contacted on a regular basis and asked for their views on a range of issues.
The questions above are an example of those asked in recent questionnaires. It is one of the key methods used by the Council and its Partners to find out what people think about local services. This type of consultation is something called a 'Citizens' Panel'. A Citizens' Panel and the City Voice is the same thing.
If you decided to join the Panel, you will have the opportunity to fill in three questionnaires per year. Questions will be asked by Aberdeen's Community Planning Partners, including:
At the moment around 1,000 people are part of the City Voice and they make up a representative sample of Aberdeen's population. This is important, as we want to hear the views of all sectors of our community. But to make it even more effective, we are looking for another 1,000 people to join.
If you would like to become part of the panel and give your views on Aberdeen, please complete the recruitment form or contact Philippa Corley on (01224) 522935 or e-mail CityVoice@aberdeencity.gov.uk

We are happy to announce that the results of the 13th City Voice questionnaire are now available! All panellists will receive a copy of the summary newsletter together with a copy of the 14th City Voice questionnaire through the post shortly. To access the newsletter and full report, please click here. The timetable for the next questionnaire is also now available to view.
The 14th City Voice questionnaire was sent out in the post to all City Voice panellists in mid June. You can also complete a hard copy by downloading it from the 'Latest Questionnaire' page (click here), or by contacting Philippa Corley.
We will shortly be starting a recruitment drive for more panellists to join the City Voice. To ensure that we get a representative sample of Aberdeen City residents, we are sending invitation letters to 1% of randomly selected households in the City. This equates to 2,200 households! This will help us to boost our numbers and ensure that the views given by the panel truly reflect our community. As well as the postal recruitment, we also need to do more targeted recruitment. The panel needs more young people and people with children to ensure that it is truly representative. This targeted recruitment will take place over the next 6 months. If you know of anyone who would like to join the City Voice, please contact Philippa Corley.
