Prosperity and Jobs

Aberdeen City and Shire Economic Future

The remit of the Prosperity and Jobs Challenge Forum is as follows:

  • To manage strategic economic development issues for the benefit of the area and its people
  • To improve and streamline local economic development services
  • To provide economic development input into the Community Planning process

The Aberdeen City & Shire Economic Future (ACSEF) is the main delivery tool for the Prosperity and Jobs Forum

ACSEF held an economic summit in May 2007 which was attended by over 100 key business leaders.  The summit agreed a vision for 2025 and eight strategic priorities which aim to realise a strong, confident future for the region.  Following the summit an economic manifesto was published (link below) detailing the early actions required to maintain a focus on the key activities needed to realise the vision.
