The Homes challenge is being taken forward by the Aberdeen Homes Forum.  The targets set for the Homes challenge in the Community Plan are part of a wider Aberdeen Local Housing Strategy (LHS). 

The LHS addresses the housing needs and the house conditions within the City and how the Council working in partnership will tackle these issues.

Housing Needs Assessment

A Housing Needs Assessment has been produced by Fordham Research. The work was jointly commissioned by Aberdeen City Council, Aberdeenshire Council and Communities Scotland to establish the future housing needs for the next five years and beyond for the Aberdeen City and Aberdeen Housing Market Areas. The main reports are available as a single document or in sections.

The Local House Condition Survey 2005 was carried out by the Council.  This work was carried out by Micheal Howard Research with assistance from Communities Scotland.
