Aberdeen Civic Forum

The Civic Forum was launched in May 2002 and represents one of the main routes for community input into Community Planning. 

The Civic Forum draws together representatives from every neighbourhood in the City and from Communities of Interest Forums which include the:

• Ethnic Minority Forum
• Aberdeen Women's Alliance
• Youth Action Committee
• Disability Advisory Group
• Lesbian, Gay Bisexual and Transgender Forum
• Aberdeen Senior Citizens Forum
• Community Regeneration Forum
• The Gypsy Traveller community

The Civic Forum has four places on The Aberdeen City Alliance and a minimum of three representatives on each of the Challenge Forums.  Civic Forum members representing the organisation on other bodies are asked to provide feedback on the meetings they attend, and a form is provided for the purpose.

The Lead Group (the Executive Committee of the Civic Forum) meets on a monthly basis to plan full Forum meetings and to deal with routine business. Click here to view the Civic Forum Lead Group Membership (2008-2011).

Information Pack
